Here's the kitchen and dining hut, or churuata as it is called here in Venezuela.

Everyone pitches in preparing meals and cleaning up afterwards.  Union College IRR student Michael Hoppe chops up the veggies.

Corrie Sample eating slimy passion fruit in Venezuala

Corrie enjoys eating passion fruit. For those of you who haven't eaten it, you spoon out this sweet, slimy, frog-egg-like stuff with crunchy seeds and munch away!

Michael Hoppe was the only official IRR student
this time.

What's he looking at anyway?

And what's Dr. Mike Duehrssen looking at?

A strange-looking creature at the outdoor sinks.

Could it be . . . is it really . . . his wife?

Mission plane wing and natives in remote Venezuela village

The Adventist Medical Aviation program (AMA)has made a great impact in dozens of otherwise inaccessible villages.

Saving lives and healing sickness at no cost or obligation to them speak volumes about the Jesus we claim to serve.

Once the people witness the demonstration of our love, they became willing to listen to the words of salvation our workers have to share.  Now they enjoy a better way of life in the present, and have hope of a future with Jesus that's out of this world!

Compared to most villages, there is a noticeable difference in the places helped by AMA volunteers.  The people are happier and healthier.  You can see a sparkle in their eyes and hope giving them a reason to live.  Their villages are neat and clean.

Is God calling YOU to serve?  Experienced bush pilots, medical personnel, builders and other volunteers are needed in Venezuela and other countries in South America.
