Dollybeth is 25.  She has psoriasis, a white, scaly, itchy, & painful rash over her entire body except her face. There is no cure for psoriasis, but the treatment does make life more enjoyable for the patient.

At this point she is not taking any medications for it.  She has tried a lot of things, but the cream that is supposed to help is too expensive for her.

This case really tore at our hearts.  At age 2-1/2, little Edinson has a big cancerous tumor in one of his eyes.  When we first saw him, it was still operable, but that is questionable now because it has gone a lot deeper into his face.  It is no longer superficial.  There might be something they could do for him in Lima, but at this point we do not have the funds to send him and he does not have the time to wait.  It made all of us cry because the family does not even have anything to give him for the pain, which is horrible.

Twenty-nine year old Julio is the youngest in the family. He has 3 children and worked in the mountains with lumber. For the last four years, he has had a hernia growing from his stomach. Painful and leaving him unable to work, he is left with no other choice but to stay at home. He has not sought out medical treatment due to lack of funds but would like to as it would allow him to provide better for him and his family.

Raul is a 76 yr old gentleman who lives 3 hours by canoe from the nearest village.  Back when he was 18 he was involved in some sort of armed conflict and his leg got shot.  The bullet broke the bone and it has never been fixed. The leg healed at an odd angle, and Raul gets around using a wooden cane or by canoe.  When we told him about the possibility of being healed with an operation, Raul broke out in tears.
