La Loma Luz Hospital
This “Light on a Hill” is located at San Ignacio in the small tropical country of Belize, east of Guatemala, on the Caribbean, and just below the Pine Ridge Mountains!
La Loma Luz serves the people of Belize with a complete clinic and hospital including major surgeries and modern diagnostic equipment.

The new Jose Cruz Dialysis Unit, began operation February 2011. Jose was a dialysis patient in Belize City, and he along with the government, LLL and the World Organization of Renal Therapy worked for nearly 2 years putting together a Dialysis program for the country of Belize, with 2 locations. One in Belize City at Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital and La Loma Luz Adventist Hospital in Santa Elena, Cayo District. LLL was going to be only half the distance for Jose to travel for his treat, but sadly, he passed away just one month before the dialysis center opened in his name.
Several thousand people are treated each year. Our hospital is recognized throughout Belize for its loving, quality Christian care.
